Stadthalle Heidelberg

Stanton Williams Architects, London
Architectural Assistant
2009

For this competition in Heidelberg, Germany I worked on a freelance basis for Stanton Williams Architects in London. As the first contemporary building in the famous historical centre of Heidelberg the expansion of the Stadthalle is set back and mainly underground. Orientated to 3 directions, the river Neckar, the inner city and the Stadthalle itself, the sculptural outline of the building is literally defined by its context and subordinated to the neighbourhood.
